Current and emerging environmental regulations are having a significant impact on plating-on-plastics (POP) and decorative coating (Deco) applicators. The anticipated regulations will create further restrictions for plating chemistries, creating new challenges in the development of processes designed to meet stringent OEM performance standards while also meeting regulatory requirements for worker and environmental safety.
MacDermid Enthone has taken the lead in driving compliance with these pending regulations, developing critical PFAS-free technologies for plastic substrates that do not contain chromium (VI) compounds. These processes are generically referred to as “chrome-free etches” and decorative trivalent chromium. This webinar will outline these innovative technologies and review how they are designed to address current and future regulatory concerns while delivering the highest quality finishes and performance!
